We'll be shooting a few patron events for the National Ballet of Canada. If you are a patron, you'll likely see the results in an upcoming newsletter.
SPECTRA Talent Contest continues through to the late spring. We've been photographing the shows on stage once a month since last fall - results are on their facebook page.
We just completed a series of shoots to commemorate Casey House's 25th anniversary. The stills were shot in conjunction with a series of videos (shot by Lisa Lightbourn-Lay). Stay tuned for the final result.
Last summer, we shot some video footage to tie in to a print campaign we've been working on with Casey House. The common theme is a paper cutout heart with the word "Together" written on it, and a person involved with the hospice holds the heart up in front of them. The stills campaign has been quite successful so far, and I wanted to try out the concept in a different media. I shot handheld, by ambient light only, then deliberately edited the footage to look unpolished. Recently, for Valentine's Day, we found a good way to use the footage, in the form of a little "thank you" to all of the volunteers, donors, staff, and friends who help make Casey House the special place it is.
We're very pleased to once again be photographing Casey House's Snow Ball event, coming up on March 23. Here are some great pictures from last year's CHROMA event.
** Update - Casey House has posted many of the photos from that evening on their flickr feed.
On Saturday February 25, Barr Gilmour transformed AVENUE ROAD into a hot venue. The top level was turned into a pop-up restaurant, where chef Jonathan Gushue and his crew prepared a sumptuous feast for the senses within view of the diners. Guests then made their way downstairs where DJ Ticky Vy hosted the hottest club in town. Event photography by Glenn Bell
